Ways Families May Access Funding for Educational Services

Step Up for Students – Unique Abilities (UA) Scholarship
For students with qualifying disabilities, UA funds may be used for tutoring and specialized instructional services. Families typically pay providers directly and request reimbursement. Crystal River Learning Academy provides detailed invoices and can assist with required paperwork when needed.

Local & Community Disability Grants
Some local foundations, disability organizations, and community groups offer financial assistance for tutoring and educational support. Availability varies by location and organization. CRLA can help families prepare invoices and service descriptions to support applications.

Homeschool & Education Micro-Grants
Some homeschool organizations and education foundations offer small grants or scholarships that may be used for tutoring, academic support, or enrichment services. CRLA can provide documentation if required.

Employer Education or Dependent Benefits
Some employers offer education reimbursement or dependent assistance programs. Families should check with their employer or HR department to determine eligibility. CRLA can provide invoices and service descriptions when documentation is needed.

Direct Pay with Possible Reimbursement
Families may pay CRLA directly for services. Detailed invoices and provider credentials are provided, and families may submit documentation to applicable scholarship or grant programs for reimbursement consideration. CRLA is available to assist with paperwork when appropriate.

Step Up Program

Applications for the 2026–2027 school year open February 1, 2026.

Families should apply as soon as applications open, even if provider or school selection is not yet finalized. Funding priority is based on when families apply, not when providers are chosen.

Crystal River Learning Academy will support families throughout the application process.
