About the Director and Founder
Tara Salute, M.Ed.
Transformative Education, Rooted in Community
Tara Salute is a dedicated educator with over 30 years of experience empowering students and supporting families throughout Citrus County. Born and raised in Crystal River, Tara graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Special Education and earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida.
She began her career at Rock Crusher Elementary in 1994 and has since positively impacted students of all ages—from kindergarten through high school. Tara is certified in Orton-Gillingham and holds a specialized Reading Endorsement, skills that have consistently enabled her students to achieve remarkable progress, often surpassing one full year of reading growth in just six months.
Throughout her career, Tara has demonstrated a proven ability to address diverse learning needs, ranging from personalized tutoring and daily school support to comprehensive homeschooling assistance. Her holistic, community-centered approach builds confidence, connection, and long-term success.
About Chloe Jones
B.A. in Elementary Education
Chloe is a Crystal River native and a graduate of Lecanto High School, where she completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from St. Petersburg College and holds ESOL and Reading endorsements. She has three years of teaching experience working with students with autism, English language learners, students with dyslexia, and those receiving ESE services. She has also been tutoring students since 2018.

Outside of the classroom, she is a proud mom to a 14-month-old and enjoys spending time on the water as well as with friends and family. She is excited to join a team that embraces a holistic approach to learning and supports the development of the whole child.
